Tourist attractions in Florence
Till date, I have to thank my friend for the suggestion he made to me about visiting Florence for my vacations. I can still feel the fresh air of that place and the rich aroma of dishes that I prepared in my Florence cooking classes.
The Uffizi (Gallerie degli Uffizi)
I was thrilled to see the collection of Renaissance paintings made by legends such as Giotto, Paolo Ucello, Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, and Masaccio at Uffizi-the well known art gallery in Florence. I spent one whole day simply enjoying these wonderful art pieces. The ancient Greek sculptures lined at the corridor of the gallery were amazing. There were other rooms filled with paintings and sculptures of Florentine art. My day at the gallery was wonderful. After that I enjoyed my dinner cooking class in Florence at a magnificent villa in the midst of natural beauty.
Santa Croce
My next day started with cooking classes in Florence with a royal Italian family at their own palace. I made an authentic Italian breakfast under the supervision of my teacher. After that I enjoyed the demonstration given by a professional chef at lunch. Then we headed towards Santa Croce- one of the main tourist attractions in Florence. The beauty of this grand church built in 1924 was beyond imagination. I could not take my eyes off this splendid creation of man.
Ponte Vecchio and other attractions
After enjoying a wonderful demonstration at Florence cooking class, the next move was to visit Ponte Vecchio. This is the oldest bridge in Florence and it holds a lot of historic significance. I was thrilled to see Palazzo Pitti which is a magnificent structure with almost seven grand museums. The collection of Renaissance sculpture at the Bargello was also breathtaking. I also enjoyed visiting The Accademia Gallery.
It was hard to say goodbye to my cooking class, Florence and the wonderful surroundings of this city.
