Geographically Veneto is an interesting region in the North of Italy because it has the advantages of two regions of the land, the lagoon zone and the majestic peaks. There is no viticulture in the former but in the hinterland above the lagoon there are 80 authorized grape varieties. Geography
The region surrounding Venice is what would interest wine lovers. Spanning lake Gardia in the west to the Adriatic sea in the east, there are more varieties of red and white wines than any other region of Italy. The Grape
